Service 04 / Product engineering

Build the complete AI-enabled product—not only the model call.

An 8–16 week initial-release engagement for teams that need a complete AI-enabled application or product feature—not only a prototype or model integration.

01 / DETAIL

When this service fits

The client has a defined user and problem, an existing product that needs an AI capability or a validated pilot ready to become a usable application. The work begins from product intent and a clear operating context—not from a model demonstration.

02 / DETAIL

Capabilities

Norrelium can combine the product experience, application services and AI workflow required for an initial release.

  • AI copilots and assistants
  • Customer-facing AI applications
  • AI-enabled SaaS prototypes and initial releases
  • Streaming interfaces
  • Model and tool integrations
  • Backend APIs and data services
  • Authentication and persistence
  • Evaluation and observability
  • Deployment and handover

03 / DETAIL

Delivery model

Work is divided into paid, decision-based phases so scope and investment can respond to evidence.

  • Discovery and specification
  • Experience and architecture
  • Implementation
  • Validation
  • Launch
  • Improvement

04 / DETAIL

What production-ready thinking requires

A useful product must work for the intended users, fail clearly and remain operable after launch. The implementation therefore addresses identity and access, data boundaries, failure handling, evaluation, monitoring, cost, deployment and ownership.

05 / DETAIL

Client participation

Product delivery requires timely decisions and access to the systems the new capability must fit.

  • Named product owner
  • Access to relevant repositories, APIs and design systems
  • Availability of technical stakeholders
  • Timely product and acceptance feedback
  • Agreed deployment and ownership responsibilities

06 / DETAIL

How success is assessed

Each phase defines acceptance criteria for the user journey and operating constraints. Measures may include task completion, output acceptance, error and fallback rates, latency, cost, reliability and appropriate product usage.

07 / DETAIL

Ownership and handover

The proposal defines source-code ownership, third-party services, documentation, deployment responsibilities, client dependencies and any reusable Norrelium background materials before implementation begins.

08 / DETAIL

Timeline

An initial release typically takes 8–16 weeks. Scope, integration readiness, review cycles and deployment responsibilities determine the final schedule.

09 / DETAIL

Boundaries

The engagement covers the agreed initial release and acceptance criteria. Third-party service fees, ongoing operations and formal certification are separate unless stated in the proposal. Independent reference projects demonstrate engineering approaches; they are not presented as enterprise-certified client deployments.

Frequently asked questions

Common delivery and ownership questions.

Can Norrelium join our existing engineering team?

Yes. The engagement can add focused product and AI engineering capacity while working with the client’s repositories, standards and review process.

Which model provider do you use?

The provider is selected against the product’s quality, privacy, latency, cost and deployment needs. The architecture should avoid unnecessary lock-in where practical.

Does the engagement include ongoing hosting and model usage?

Not automatically. Proposals identify hosting, model usage, third-party fees and ongoing operating responsibilities explicitly.

What happens after the initial release?

The client can take ownership, retain Norrelium for a defined improvement phase or agree a separate support arrangement. Handover expectations are set before launch.

Is this the right engagement?

Share the current situation, desired result and constraints. Norrelium will confirm whether this engagement is the right starting point.
